Fearless, Surrender, Community for Sany

Transcription
There's more to strength than we first believe in youth, when strength is every feat of supernatural strength by your dad, when strength is the good guys using their fists against bad guys...it takes seasons, winter that can't be shoved away, the terrible strength of greater forces directing us players on stage like marionettes—loss, grief, death, time's ruthless march and the pressure to forget and move on. Some remain fixed in the old understanding, trying like fools to fight the rain. But the wise with dried salt tracks from their eyes, writ on their faces, know the truth of strength is in the surrender know that we are nothing unto ourselves, know that as we age, the community looks to us for example—will you try to shoot the sun with a hopeless yell, or will you extend, like open arms your umbrella for your friend, for a stranger, in a storm?
