Infants in the womb say nothing, but kick.
When they reach our shores, they say nothing but cry.
Toddlers say mmmmaaa and we hear mama, then they say mama,
Children say mama, mommy, mummy, mother, mom,, mum.
Teenagers say MOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Once upon a time,, her name was none of these
Someday she might answer to grandma,,
or abuela, abuelita, perhaps...
It is a song with many parts,
this song of life,
this song of the heart...
And it is music to mom's ears,, dear loves.
