I'm On the UP!

I'm ON the up! Or maybe I'm in it...even above it, perhaps? Beyond it? Prepositions are just another one of our clumsy grammatical lanterns to help us see in the cave of meaning, and so are metaphors about caves, but behind these words lies a truth, personified by this quote: "I'm on the up!" You are motion and progress manifest, you are going places and you are flying there not walking, not falling, you get the better of things and not the other way around and when it's all said and done, you'll have wrestled & hogtied whatever life throws at you into submission, & there you'll be, cool about it, checking out your fingernails and whistling like it ain't no thang at all.
