Did you know octopusses (octopi?) love? Me neither, and I have no evidence to prove this—having never interviewed an octopus, er fallen in love with one, or been one—but, I have the space of a poem to make serious logical deductions, and like the great detective Sherlock (who was not an octopus), I can deduce that Octopuses have their many legs—8 by my count—have their many suction cups— to imitate an ever-expanding embrace of the universe and pull each other close in what they call the octopi infinity embrace of love, and they do this, yes, by my estimation, all the damn time—true lovebirds, they even have beaks...or is that squid? Don't believe me? Have *you* asked an octopus? Didn't think so. King me. Or checkmate one of those is right...
