Mosquito Man

Transcription
I'm convinced these women can feel my
gaze bite and sting like mosquitoes!
Carribean girls--MAN! Latinas with dark, articulate curls
Each one a letter, every handful a bounty of bouncing
words driving me insane with verses of flame crackling
the air, licking my ear...what man could go un-raze
against the terrorizing beauty and pride of so many
precious embers, precious, precious embers floating
on top of the smoldering body of this helpless...city?
Lord forgive me--ladies too! But I can't stop...well...
I could...but I don't want to! I'm all bark and all bit
but I won't violate! No! I won't touch you! Nol...
Not unless you ask...
Because I'm an ask man, first and foremost. Every day
I ask the lords of love for mercy--I beg all my muses,
but not a moment gets away without another neckbreaker
sauntering down the sidewalk with my last breath,, and
turn me into a pillar of salt, but God damn it, I look back!
I'm bad. I know it. I try to close my eyes, butt
I smell these mangoes, mameys, these stinging citruses
and guavas on my mad, forked devil tongue, and I fall
down to my knees,, down to my belly, and I just keep falling
and falling, slithering along between angels' legs!
Preying upon any chance I can get at just a conversation,
ate..a conversion, turning a single, breathy dream to
have sympathy, to sweat with me on some sultry summer's eve.
Every one is Ms. Miami, and I tear up just thinking about
making them mine,, wishing they'd be my Mrs...if only for
a@ night...
My prodigal eye's been wandering this city for ages...
