When you live in Miami, you forget to grant to any other, more northern part, a part in your consideration. of this oddly shaped pie of a state, Florida, we are a bit full of ourselves, yes, but do we not have reason for it? In addition to being full of ourselves, You can add that we are full of beautiful people, places, full of glittering sands and glittering skin and eyes, shimmering skyscrapers and shimmering waves lapping our coast, desperately trying to be a part of the fun, burning beneath fire skies stained pink and sweet. The Ocean would be a citizen, yes, but we cannot be overrun, and so we offer ourselves as a port to everything else—a port to every country and land, all beautiful in their own right, yes, but not quite us, Miami, Florida, or: everything.
