I never thought I could be so lucky, so blessed, as to find myself in the presence of the most royal flower, the most regal stone that adorns such a beautiful family tree: Princess Jade. The deep green of her youth trails behind her little steps more like a fluffy loving dog than a shadow--one day she will lead lucky, adoring souls by example, but, for now she keeps company with her favorite princess peers: Cinderella, Ariel, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, and the ice princess Elsa, to name a few...but mere visions can scarcely compare to the real thing, to hearing her laugh, to seeing her play in the park. She is perfect, as she is, with all of the wisdom of the world in her child-eyes, and already she instructs us about what matters most. But, she also has that which matters most--her teacher-queen mother showing her what praises lay, waiting special, for her, in little verses and poems--her grandparents' hands to hold, their love to hold tight, wrapped around her like her favorite blanket...or like the sparkling, long cape of a beautiful princess.
