some pigs love 2 still others love wisdom
if every tree ed it ranches and leaves like so many overgrown hummingbirds
wandering off into the wet night sky hunting for sugarwater
we'd forget efore long and deserve it because
and ol would cry at utility poles and not know why
fake christmas trees would have their day in the sun
perplexing children they too would fly away
some would make themselves small to hide beneath roses and such
inevitability would find them too the plants and flowers would clin
away carefully footholding the clouds before taking root
rain would live on as a figure of speech and song the day would never come
to spend pennies hence their mintings' cessation
finally men would curl up like roly polies
beneath womens! legs they would close them
and swim like tadpoles one by one away towards the sun middle day
as the men watched them get smaller and farther away pei gs
and still for hours and days with less than hope they'd stare __
