Some of us perch like indecisive birds on the walls of our souls, the boundary that contains all, keeps out all else besides what we choose to let in. We sway in the breeze between wanting to be seen, and the fear of being known, intimately. This anxiety threatens to clip our wings and turn us into cold stone statues, pretty things, but bereft of life and love... But as we hang in this balance, measuring the vantage of our lives, we are also pulled by another deep desire in many directions—the desire to consummate with the world our feelings of love, the need to be understood and make communion with those who to us matter most, And if we sort ourselves out and listen to ourselves, we will find that we have always known what choice to make, known which direction to fly.
